  • A lovely Easter Sunday Afternoon

After spending the morning celebrating with our church families,
now our close family and friends gathered for an afternoon
    of conversation, dinner and games.

My mom was surprised and delighted
to meet her great grandson for the first time via Skype!

Here in the dinning room are my husband Spence, dear friend Elfie,
Bob and Jenny, Madge and Don~Spence’s Dad enjoying our potluck supper.

    Sweet Madge

In the living room we set up another table for Bri, Sepp, Deb, Mary ~my mom and Jim.
David and JJ were there too

My brother Sepp and his wife Deb

It’s an easy dinner because it’s become a potluck!
We supply the cooked ham and peach sun tea,
Jenny brings her famous potato salad,
    Bri made the fruit salad,
    Mom now makes Nana’s Salad,
    Pop brings dinner rolls
and Sepp brought the Carrot Cake!

Later  we pulled out the game”Apples to Apples”
    and played into the night

These are the moments that make life so GOOD
Thank you, Jesus, for the Joy and Hope
    that filled this day.

  • Easter Sunrise on the Knoll

    Dawn came early this Easter,
so it was already light before 6:30 am
as we made our way up the hill.

God sent plenty of rain this year
so the way was decorated for us.

Early birds were there to welcome

Joy filled the air as we waited for others to join us

    Time for Worship
Lifting our voices together in praise and wonder

The passage from Luke 24 was read and savored.

Then a time of exhortation and prayer for the communities around us

    It was good morning!

  • An Easter Cottage Garden

    On a busy street corner,
where cars rush up and down Thaila or take the Wilson St shortcut,
this older Laguna home often goes unnoticed.

But my eye spotted the touches of new color,
and I was emboldened to knock on the door
to ask if I might photograph their bright Spring flowers.

Not only was the owner delighted,
he was able to send the photos I dropped off
to his mother who used to live there.

  • “I Really Like You!”

What could be more fun then hanging out with your new “best friend”
    while strolling around Laguna Beach…

These are just a few of the images captured
during a lovely, afternoon portrait session
    with Mikel and Sarah
